SSL (Secure Server)

How to call your web site using our server wide Secure Server?

It is really easy.  you need to know your accounts user name and you need to know the server you are on.  If you logon in to your cpanel you can see the server you are on at the top.

You are on the You Go Web server network so you would use the server name /~user name.

Host A   Server name -  hosta.yougoweb.com
Host B   Server name -  hosta.yougoweb.com

Here are two domains that are on both servers.

http://login-a.com    to view this page using the Secure Server you would use this https://hosta.yougoweb.com/~logina

http://login-b.com   to view this page using the Secure Server you would use this https://hostb.yougoweb.com/~loginb

Both links pull up the index.htm page.  If you wanted to load a page called accounts.htm then you would add /accounts.htm to the links above.

DO NOT INCLUDE the extension for your domain.

Normally, any text (such as your credit card number) sent from your browser to the web server is sent as plain text. This means that a hacker could potentially intercept (however unlikely) the information sent from your browser and read it. Therefore, by using the secure server, the information is encrypted before it is sent from your browser. It would be practically impossible for anyone to decrypt it without knowing the key.

Any user can buy their own SSL but your account must purchase your own dedicated ip.
